Written Description:

History: Sarah is the oldest child of Kenneth and Eileen Grey. Ken was born of a military family and has no real 'roots' to speak of, having put in the four years of service his father required of him and using the GI Bill to get his MBA. He is now the owner of an exceptionally successful finance firm that specializes in forensic accounting audits. Eileen was a junior at Sarah Lawrence when she met her husband and though her parents threatened to disown her, she married him anyway. After he became a success, they forgave her and accepted her and her family back into the lineage. Eileen's family can trace its roots from some of Savannah's founding fathers and considers Kenneth as 'new money'.

When Sarah was a small child, her mother tried to instill in her the womanly graces so highly valued by the society women in Savannah, but it was apparent almost from birth that the young girl had no aptitude for any of them. Her father jokingly calls her Sarah Grace, as a well-intentioned jab at her lack of the former. It didn't bother her as much when she was a child, but as she aged and her noted clumsiness seemed to increase, making it impossible for her to wear anything higher than a one-inch heel (to her mother's extreme dismay), the name began to bother her more and more. Of course, most of her friends at home are aware of it and use it whenever she has one of her 'Sarah' moments, sometimes simply calling her 'Grace'. She's determined to leave that name behind her when she leaves Savannah. She does not excel in any particular subject in school, and she struggled just to meet the bare minimum requirements to attend Brighton University. She is just beginning her first year, having been wait-listed and taking part-time classes at South University in Savannah prior to her admittance into Brighton.

She has had several boyfriends, but none serious enough to be considered anything special, though she did lose her virginity after drinking spiked grape soda at a post-prom party. She doesn't talk about it, but however badly that experience might have gone, it has not changed her inborn innocence. She is naive, uncomplicated and enjoys eating, dancing, singing, acting, and playing video games. She is forgiving, compassionate, and while socially awkward, she rarely says an ill-intentioned word.

Her mother has reluctantly allowed her to attend Brighton, preferring that Sarah not stray so far from home. Her father, on the other hand, believes that his Sarah Grace needs to become acclimated with the real world and quickly. He arranges for a comfortable, safe apartment for her in the East Village, in a pretty place called Stuyvesant Town, as well as an American Express card for 'necessities', of which they have distinctly different ideas. She and Samuel, her brother, are not close. He is three years her junior and has always been more of a rebel than she has. At sixteen, her mother shudders at the embarrassment he is to the family, while her father thinks that he is just high-spirited. When she arrives at Brighton, she knows that she has made the right choice. For the past two years, she's had a strong feeling that something big was going to happen, a change in her life that she didn't comprehend, and she feels like this is where it will happen.

Sarah is 5'1", with blonde hair, blue eyes, a heart-shaped face and a curvy, ample figure. She loves the color pink and firmly believes that there is very little that can't be solved by a mani/pedi and an excursion to the nearest shopping location. She is right-handed and a soprano.

Powers: She's never noticed any powers, though some of her friends think that her capacity for forgiveness and love is something miraculous. She's always felt a strong tie to the moon and can often be found daydreaming while looking up at it, particularly when it is full.

First-person RP sample: I absolutely cannot believe this place! It's huge! All my friends back home said that apartments in New York were dingy, unlit, and dangerous-looking, but this place is incredible, and Daddy said I could paint whatever colors I wanted, so today I went on my first scouting adventure in the city to try to find a hardware store that sold paint. I'm staying in a hotel until my furniture gets here, but I think it will be easier to paint before it does. Mama said I couldn't have my bedroom furniture from my room at home, which bothered me a little, but I guess it would be hard for her to completely redesign that suite - though I don't know exactly what it is she does all day, she always seems to be tired by early evening. I've rambled off-topic though. I managed to find the hardware store pretty easily. Oh, alright, I only got lost five times! But the man at the counter was able to match my sweater perfectly, and now I have the most beautiful pink walls. Mama would die if she knew I painted my own room, but as hard as it was, I sort of enjoyed it. Maybe it was one of those rites of passage Daddy was talking about.

Third-person RP sample: She settled quietly into her large comfy chair, the one she'd brought from her father's study at home, the one she'd always felt comfortable in. She knew it clashed with her decor and that it was horribly out of place, but she couldn't help but feel happier just seeing it. It still carried a faint scent of the cigars her Daddy smoked on Sunday evenings, with the windows open, of course, so as not to offend her Momma's sensibilities. She opened the textbook and stared at the words on the page for a seemingly endless period before deciding that she simply couldn't study. She tossed it to the floor and skipped to the kitchen to find some chocolate, but halted in her tracks, surprised by the ringing of the doorbell.

I wonder who that is...
